Wolves

Two timber wolves are fighting to determine who will be the dominant one.  Wolves in the pack establish a rank from alpha all the way down the pack.   Only the alpha wolf will mate and is the always the first to feed.  This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II camera and a 400mm lens.  The shutter speed was set at 1/800 second, the aperture was set at f5.6 and the ISO at 640.

Timber Wolf

The timber wolf is found throughout Ontario and Quebec but is more plentiful in the north areas.  They usually live in packs of up to 8 wolves with one alpha male, one alpha female and a number of younger wolves.  Only the alpha's mate and produce offspring. This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D camera and my 400 mm lens.  The shutter speed was set at 1/800 second, the aperture as set at f5.6 and the ISO was set at 125.
