Timber Wolf Pups Playing

Here are two timber wolf pups playing in the woods.  These pups spend most of there day either resting in the shade or play with other members of the pack.

This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II camera and a Sigms 150-600 mm lens set at 200 mm.  The shutter speed was set at 1/400 second, the aperture was set at f6.3 and the ISO was set to 2000.

Osprey on a Post

A male osprey is enjoying his fresh catch of fish on a summer morning high on top of a hydro pole. This photo was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II and a Sigma 150-600 mm lens with a 1.4x teleconvertor giving an effective focal length of 840 mm.  The shutter speed was set at 1/1000 second, the aperture was set at f9 and the ISO was set at 5000.

Cormorants Are Here!

Cormorant numbers are 250-times historic population records. Each cormorant eats a minimum of one-pound of fish per day; in other words, it takes about three yellow perch to feed the cormorants’ voracious daily appetite. This cormorant was found in a group of three fishing in the Rideau River near Kemptville.

Great Blue Heron Takes Flight
