Two male mallards cleaning themselves as part of their morning routine. This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II camera and a Sigma 150-600 mm lens set at 150 mm. The shutter speed was set 1/640 second, the aperture was set to f7.1 and the ISO was set to 1250.

Here is a pair of wood ducks swimming on the Lake. These colourful ducks are found in the lakes, streams and rivers of the area. This photograph was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II and a Canon 70-300 mm lens set at 300 mm. The shutter speed was set at 1/800 second, the aperture was set to f6.3 and the ISO was set at 640.
Many of the birds have returned to the Ottawa area. Here is my first photo this year of a male osprey sitting on the nest. It was taken with my Canon 7D Mark II camera and a Sigma 150-600 mm lens set at 600 mm. The shutter speed was set at 1/1000 second, the aperture was set at F6.3 and the ISO was set to 320.
The mallards have returned to the area for a couple of weeks now. They are now pairing up for mating and soon we will see little ducklings all over the place.
It's spring and the snow has returned today! I just thought that I would send for one of my favourite winter photographs. The whitetail buck deer standing in the snow storm. Enjoy!
It's spring and many of the ducks and other birds are returning to the Ottawa area. Here is one of the most colourful ducks, the drake wood duck. He makes his summer home in the lakes, streams and rivers of the area.
