A red fox on the hunt
A young red fox runs along a ditch in search of the next meal. Red foxes is a member of the canidae species and are found throughout Canada. Foxes spend most of the time alone except during the breeding season. Red foxes are good parents they will return their catch to their young and care for them until they are old enough to fend for themselves.

I found this handsome red fox playing on the side of the road near Montebello, Quebec. He was very lively, running in and out to the trees near a quiet roadway. Not bothered by my presence, he continued to play for several minutes before disappearing in to the woods. This is one of many photographs I manage to capture of this young fox. I took this photograph with my Canon 7D and a 70-300 mm lens set at 170 mm. My shutter speed was set for 1/800 second, my aperture with set at f5.0 and the ISO was set at 320.
