Female Wood Duck

I also found a female wood duck at Mud Lake.  Her colours are not as bright as the male but she is still beautiful.  Wood ducks are native to this area, however they are not as plentiful as Mallards.

I took this shot with my Canon 7D camera and a 400 mm lens. The shutter speed was set at 1/800 second, the aperture was set at f5.6 and the ISO was set at 500 in this partially sun lit photograph.
